Thank you, Lafferty Farms for raising more than $1,1000 for Look Good Feel Better in support of the women in your community!
The community of Quinte West came together for a fall fundraising event at the Lafferty Farms. Pink and blue pumpkins were sold for a minimum $10.00 donation to charities supporting lives affected by cancer in the community.
A total of $2,200 funds were raised for both charities. Funds from the blue pumpkins supported Tears Mean Love, a charity supporting those affected by childhood cancer and funds from the pink pumpkins were donated to Look Good Feel Better, helping women with cancer feel like themselves again.
Look Good Feel Better offers a complimentary two-hour workshop which provides tips how to overcome the appearance-related side effects treatment may cause like uneven skin tone, dry skin and the loss of eyebrows and eyelashes. Much more than that - Look Good Feel Better also offers women a welcoming environment, where they can spend some much-needed time on themselves and connect with other women going through a similar experience.
Each year, 5 workshops are held in Bellville, supporting approximately 50 women. Your amazing fundraising efforts will help us not only deliver the workshop in Belleville, but also allow us to spread the word to ensure even more women in your community learn about the program.
Thank you for helping women facing cancer in your community!
If you are were unable to attend the Lafferty's Love event but would still like to the support the fundraising efforts, you can do so by making a donation to Look Good Feel Better.
